the 60's domination

Fashion in the 60's was all about being bold and daring. It is an era whereby fashion started to truly revolve into something that was fun and stylish. It was about mismatching a printed top with another voovoovavum pants.

In the 60's, a number of trends was being discovered and it was an era whereby the trend changing was a fast pacing one.

What people wore in the early 60's to my opinion was quite boring and dull. The colours they
had at that time supports my perception. It was all pale, toned shade, pastel colours. During
the office hours, people would wear suits, boxy jackets with oversized buttons on. Shifts dress
was also very much popular at that time. And when it's time to let loose and just let down your hair, women at that time wore capri pants. There wasn't much choice for women in the early 60's and hence the early point of the era was pretty much mundane.

But that soon enough change when the mid 60's started to take their dominance. Miniskirts was being introduced and that's when women started to be daring to wear something that showed more skin than they had intended to. Of course when there's mini skirts, there's bound to have minidresses too. But the shape of the minidress was only constrained to two types; the A line minidress or the sleevelessshift minidress.

The mid 60's was very much influenced by the british fashion or also known as mod.(Modernists) Girls became brave in terms of styling themselves up, looking similar to the boys. The trend to style up like boys took their domination. They had short and clean haircut.
Later on, as time went by, fake eyelashes was being introduced and pale lip colours was also being introduced. Dresses started to be formed into different kind of shapes that was thought to be out of this world. Prints drew attention to the women who update themselves on fashion. And up till now, prints will always be in style.
By the late 60's, the hippie revolution began. People started wearing tie-dyed shirts, bell bottom jeans and headbands. Sandals were among the popular footwear at that time as both men and women find something comforting and hippish about it.

All in all, many trends were being discovered in the 1960's and if you take a look closer in this era, you may find that the choice of wardrobe we have in our era is pretty much similar, or in fact the same.

Fashion never gets old, eh?
